At MKS' annual meeting in May 2017, parents in attendance also voted to fund 2017-2018 Korean-drum instruction for all 3rd-graders, and earmark $2,000 for new visual-art supplies and $7,500 for the return of the after-school Master Class, which will produce a spring musical starring our incoming 4th- and 5th-graders.
All told, MKS voted to donate $53,612.50 to cover these efforts. (Note: The unused portion of MKS' 2016-2017 donation -- some $12,000 -- will also go toward covering the 2017-2018 artists and classes.)
MKS' parent-volunteers also voted to donate $30,000 for intervention instruction for the benefit all classes and all children.
Overall, thanks to you, MKS was able to make 2017-2018 donations totaling more than $80,000.
MKS raised roughly $70,000 this year. As of now, we are due to begin the 2017-2018 school year with a General Fund balance of $55,353.80.
